Friend Omega

Batman's more of a metahuman. It's the collective term, because some "superheroes" have powers brought about by an event in their life (Spider-Man being bitten by a spider, for example), some are aliens (Superman feeding from the Earth's yellow sun), some are mutants (Storm, for example), some are gods (Thor), and some are just flat-out rich (Iron Man, Batman, et al.) Hell, some are just good with weapons (Nick Fury, The Punisher).

There are just too many categories... like what about Wolverine? His mutation is super healing, but he was fitted with an adamantium skeleton and claws by the Weapon X program. There are so many variations that they just came up with "metahumans" to categorize all of them.

You're quite welcome.

Friend Omega is a nerd.

Wacky Mommy

That just explained the problem WITH MY FICTION at the moment. The Wedge.

Tragically Hip Single Mother

Omega is a GEEK, not a nerd. The expression is "comic book GEEK," ergo Omega=geek.

Carry on.

i think i just saw someone explaining the difference between geek and nerd and in doing so, using the word "ergo."

but i can't have witnessed such a thing.

because i'm pretty sure if i did, my head would have exploded in my living room with quite a loud popping noise.

I don't have a salient opinion on the superhero 'precision of diction' debate.

I did, however, just try to use as many big words as possible in the last sentence, which makes me feel that I have a big vocabulary and consequently deserve a big ego.

Also, if Ehud were a superhero, he'd be 'Wedgeman,' and his super-power would be belittlement. Though he would in fact be fighting for good, since most of the time, what he belittled was, unbeknownst to writer in question, bad.
